She maintains a private piano teaching studio in Gainesville and has been actively performing as pianist, organist, harpsichordist, chamber musician, and choral director for over 50 years. Ruth is the founding Artistic Director and Conductor of Voices Rising Community Chorus, an intergenerational chorus that welcomes adult and youth singers age 8 and up. In 2019 she was honored as Musician of the Year by the Foundation for the Promotion of Music.
