About the event
The Edward White Trio, a jazz ensemble dedicated to preserving and reinterpreting the rich heritage of jazz music proudly announces their upcoming performance at First Presbyterian Church. Journey with them through the beloved melodies and lyrical depth of the Great American Songbook.
Join us Tuesdays in February at 12:15 p.m. for 25-minute concerts with guest musicians followed by lunch. Enter at our main sanctuary doors on SW 2nd Avenue. Bring your lunch or purchase one for $5. February 17 Lunch Menu: Cream of Broccoli Soup, SweetBerries Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, Montreat Apple Pie, Water, and Lemonade.
Edward White is Assistant Professor of Music at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL. A graduate of the University of Florida and Florida State University, his research interests include popular music, improvisation pedagogy, creativity, and technology in music education. Edward believes his success will be measured by the students who strive for more and develop a unique musical identity, capable of performing, appreciating, evaluating, and creating music. He strongly believes true musical growth occurs through meaningful collaboration. Edward White
